What do you give to that avid sewer who has everything? This same thought went through our minds when we were thinking of gifts for our beautiful collaborators and there is nothing we loath more than receiving gifts that are not practical. Whilst on a buying trip we stumbled upon a quant little store that wrapped all their products in fabric. We LOVE this traditional Furoshiki Japanese method which uses folded and wrapped cloth and the best thing you only need a Fat 1/4 of Liberty Tana Lawn, which not only looks stunning, but is eco-friendly as the fabric can be reused.
As we are visual people we found this user friendly you tube video which we think you will also agree is extremely easy to do.
The Liberty London blog also features a tutorial however they suggest hemming the edges which if you don’t know what your present receiver is going to use this piece of fabric for I would most certainly not recommend this.
And here’s our finished product
We think you will agree finding these little parcels of delights under your tree this year will bring so much more joy than tearing open paper!
For a limited time only we are offering 10% off all Fat Quarter purchases through our website using the code name “wrap” at the checkout.
Happy Friday and happy sewing
