Introducing – the Liberty Hexie Challenge

Introducing

The Liberty Hexie Challenge

During lockdown 2021, Jane from @janepipkeandherpins created a Smitten quilt designed by LuLu Well and loved it. Making small and large blocks suited the crazy time of her life. She wanted to make another but this time play with shapes to create something new. After getting permission from Lu to create something inspired but different, she had a few video calls with a friend to create this new Liberty Hexie Challenge design that we invite you to join with us to make.

Liberty Hexie Challenge has a range of blocks – 6″ hexagons and 3″ hexagons that are joined to make 6″ blocks (measuring 12″ wide).

What this is:

  • A sew along with a twist!
  • An opportunity to get creative and design your own blocks along the way, maybe mix up the design to create your own variation
  • A choose your own adventure style sew along – with a little mystery as we release the designs of the blocks each month

What this isn’t:

  • A beautifully written pattern with detailed instructions – you will have monthly blog posts with instructions
